Notice Files

Notice files (also called attribution files) document the open-source components used in your software and their license obligations. They are the file you ship with your product to comply with attribution requirements.

What you can do

  • Generate a notice file from a module's component and license data.
  • Edit the generated content — add custom notices, adjust formatting.
  • Version and freeze at approval time.
  • Download as text or PDF.
  • Share publicly via a public URL (see Public Approves).
